Fresh & Press is a laundry and ironing business run by Mr David Marsh, a sole trader, from 71 Market Street, Atherton, M46 0DA. You can reach us on hello@freshandpress.co.uk or by telephone — the number is at the foot of every page.

When you book, you agree to give us accurate contact details and, if we are collecting, an address we can get to. We agree a day and a time window with you, or a time for you to drop off.

Some services are priced by weight, in bands. Every band and its price is published on this site before you book. We weigh your laundry when it reaches us, and that weight decides which published band applies — nobody chooses the band, not you and not us. Any figure you see before we have weighed it is an estimate based on what you told us, and we say so wherever it appears.

That means your price can move from one published band to the next once we weigh, without us asking you again. What it cannot do is move to a price that is not published, or be set by anybody's judgement.

Some things are priced one at a time rather than by weight. We agree those with you before we do the work, and you can say no.

If your laundry turns out to need something materially different from what you booked, or something extra we have not discussed, we contact you and agree it before we do it.

You will always see one confirmed total before you are asked for money. We do not ask you to pay for an order that still has anything unweighed or unagreed in it, because there is no final figure to ask for yet.

Turnaround times are our honest working estimate and depend on the day's workload and the van's timetable. If we are going to be late, we tell you.

None of this affects your legal rights as a consumer, including your right to have a service carried out with reasonable care and skill.
